Terms of Service

The basic commercial and usage framework for browsing and using WorkDaten.

Service scope

WorkDaten provides planning-oriented business utilities, informational data pages and explanatory content. The service is intended to support operational research and scenario analysis rather than to replace regulated professional advice.

The product structure, routes and calculator outputs may evolve over time as country coverage, years and source data are updated.

Acceptable use

Users may browse, calculate and consult WorkDaten content for their own planning, research, evaluation, comparison and educational purposes, including in a professional context. Reasonable extracts of editorial content can be quoted with proper attribution; bulk extraction of entire data tables for redistribution requires written agreement.

Users may not interfere with the operation of the service, attempt to bypass technical access controls, run automated extraction at a rate that affects performance for other users or use the platform to host or distribute unlawful content. Repeated abuse may result in technical access restrictions.

API access, bulk export and white-label use of WorkDaten data are not part of the free service and are negotiated separately when made available. Until then, manual or scripted scraping of full data sets at scale is not permitted under these Terms.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

WorkDaten content is provided for planning and informational purposes and reflects publicly available country rules and tax tables at the time of the most recent editorial pass. The information is not legal, tax or payroll advice and is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified professional or with the relevant national authority for binding decisions.

While reasonable care is taken to keep data accurate and up-to-date, no warranty is given that the information is complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. Users are responsible for verifying figures with the official source linked from the relevant page before relying on them in a contract, regulatory filing or business decision.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WorkDaten and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of the platform, including loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

Intellectual property

Editorial content, layout, code, branding and visual design of WorkDaten are protected by copyright and related rights and remain the property of WorkDaten and its operators or licensors. Use of the brand name, logo or visual identity for commercial purposes requires prior written consent.

Underlying public data such as official holiday lists, statutory tax brackets and VAT rates is sourced from public regulatory publications and is not claimed as proprietary content. The presentation, curation, structure and editorial commentary that wrap that data on WorkDaten are however protected as a database and as editorial work.

Quotations of editorial content for review, criticism, news reporting, scholarship or research are permitted within the limits of applicable copyright exceptions, with attribution to WorkDaten and a link back to the source page.

Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which WorkDaten is established, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules in the user's country of residence. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith dialogue are subject to the competent courts in the place of WorkDaten's establishment.

WorkDaten may update these Terms from time to time, in particular to reflect changes in services, legal requirements or business practice. Material changes are communicated through a notice on the affected pages and through the resources section, with a clear effective date so users can review the new version before continuing to use the service.

Continued use of the platform after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Users who do not agree may stop using the service; rights related to past use of the service remain governed by the Terms applicable at that time.

How it works

WorkDaten keeps privacy, cookie and terms information close to the rest of the platform so users can review important policies without losing the same language and navigation context.

Example use case

Before relying on a calculator for a recurring workflow, a team can review the legal pages to understand how WorkDaten frames privacy, cookies and platform responsibilities.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions people most often ask before relying on the page.

What is the purpose of the Terms of Service page?
It explains the legal, privacy or platform-use baseline that applies to this part of WorkDaten.
Do calculator inputs create an account automatically?
No. Using the calculators does not create an account by itself.
How should legal pages be interpreted?
They explain the platform position in plain language, but they do not replace formal legal advice for your business.
Does WorkDaten provide regulated advice?
No. WorkDaten offers planning information and estimator tools, while regulated decisions still require official verification.
How does WorkDaten handle my data?
WorkDaten only stores the technical data needed to operate the site (server logs, aggregated analytics, cookie preferences when consented) and any data you explicitly send via a contact form. Calculator inputs remain on your device unless you explicitly choose a future feature that exports them.
Where can I read the full Privacy Policy?
The full Privacy Policy is linked from the footer of every page and from the Legal section. It explains exactly which data is collected, why it is collected, how long it is stored and how you can request access, correction or deletion under EU GDPR.
Does WorkDaten use cookies?
WorkDaten uses essential cookies that are required for the site to function and an optional analytics layer that helps us understand which pages are most useful. The optional layer is only loaded after you accept it through the cookie banner.
How can I exercise my GDPR rights?
Use the contact link in the footer to request access, rectification, deletion or data portability under GDPR. Requests are answered within thirty days, and most can be resolved much faster because WorkDaten holds very little personal data per visitor.
Is WorkDaten subject to a specific data protection regulator?
WorkDaten is operated from the European Union and is subject to GDPR. The competent supervisory authority follows the establishment of the operator, and the contact information for data protection inquiries is available in the Privacy Policy.
Where can I find the Terms of Service?
The Terms of Service are linked from the footer of every page and from the Legal section. They describe the scope of the service, the limits of the information provided and the basic commercial framework for using WorkDaten.
