Handyman invoices mix labour and materials at different VAT rates. Use one line per task with a clear description, attach the materials as separate lines (which makes the client's tax deduction easier), and bill any call-out fee on its own line. The Shipping field can model a flat trip charge.
Smart VAT engine
Cross-border B2C supply within the EU. As you are not registered for OSS, your home-country VAT (20% in AT) applies. Once your annual EU-wide distance sales exceed €10 000, OSS registration becomes mandatory.
- ⚠ If your annual cross-border B2C sales in the EU exceed €10 000, you must register for OSS and switch to destination-country VAT.
- ⚠ The customer is marked as a business but has no VAT number. Treated as B2C unless a valid VAT number is provided.

- Can I bill a flat call-out fee?
- Yes — either as its own line item, or via the Shipping field at the bottom of the invoice (which renders as a flat addition to the total). Whichever you choose, mention it in the contract or quote so the client isn't surprised.
